Rev. Dr. Sam Vassel

Rev. Dr. Sam Vassel is the District Superintendent, Metro New York District Church of the Nazarene, USA. A native of Jamaica, Sam received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of the West Indies, Jamaica. He has a Master’s Degree in Theological Studies from Wheaton College, Illinois, USA. He holds a Doctorate in Ministry from Columbia Theological Seminary, Decatur, Georgia, USA. Dr. Vassel was Senior Pastor of Bronx Bethany Church of the Nazarene, New York for eighteen years. He also served as Senior Pastor of the Bethune Avenue Holiness Christian Church in Jamaica for ten years. He was a lecturer at the Jamaica Theological Seminary in Kingston, Jamaica, and at the Alliance Theological Seminary in New York, USA.

Sam is married to Angela and they have two children, David and Kara-Beth, and six grandchildren, Karis, Pax, Che, Gabriella, Dhiya, and Kairos.
